TOURNAMENT CHAMPS!!

Well... the Cheyenne Lady Bears beat Reydon 24 - 11 to end the tournament undefeated, and first place trophy winners. Kellie is super excited, and ready for the next tournament to start, which will be Oct. 22nd & 23rd in Cheyenne. Will keep you posted.

Kellie... Again

Well, Kellie's team remains unbeaten in the Erick Tourney. They beat Hammon today 18 - 16. They move on to the finals which are this Thursday, and play the winner of one of tomorrow's games. If Reydon wins tomorrow, that is who they will play.

Funny thing - Reydon & Cheyenne girls are all on the same A.A.U. Team together!! So if they play them, it will be like playing their own team!!

Kellie...

had her first basketball game today as a Cheyenne Lady Bear. She was extremely nervous, but came through it O.K.

They played Sweetwater in the Erick Tournament this afternoon and beat them 22 - 0. Congratulations to Kellie!!

Tomorrow they play Hammon in Erick at 5:30. Wish her luck!!

Football, Matthew & Turtles...

Fortunately, I was off work last night, and since Shamrock's so close, we got to go watch Matthew play. Unfortunately... he got hit and went down pretty hard hurting his shoulder just before half-time. Think he's OK with no permanent damage though - I hope! They took him out of the game for the second half. During the first half though, he did WELL, and they won the game 6 - 0. Nicole's friends Heather (you met her at the Testicle Festival) from Reydon went with us to the game. Believe it or not - she had NEVER been to a football game in her life until last night. They had a blast. They sat with Jessica in the "Buck Pride" section of the stands, and made lots of noise cheering the team on. Albert & James were there too, as was Gilbert.

Who's Gilbert, you ask? Well, on the way to the game, we happened to spy a turtle crossing the road, so we quickly - too quickly for those girls - stopped the truck, turned around and picked the little fellow up. Nicole dubbed him Gilbert, and he got sent home with Margaret Ann & Jesse to be added to Zane's growing collection of critters - that is, if Melissa's decides not to be a mean Mom. Just kidding Lissa - love you!!

Hope to get to see some other ballgames, but work schedule & gas price being like they are, they will be few, and far between. Would love to be able to keep up with all your kids' activities on here though - not just sports either. Get to posting those results, and have a GREAT season and school year.

Congratulations to Lance, Vanessa, Logan, Eugene, Barbara and Jonathan! Another baby on the way!!!! We are so excited with you!!!

Adeline's surgery went as expected! Replacement of valve was successful and she did not have to undergo open heart surgery! Praise God!
She will be in ICU for a couple more days. We're not sure how long her hospital stay will be. God is the great Healer! Jack and Adeline we are praying for you!!!

The Lady Bears experienced their first win in Softball in 5 years last night when they defeated the Ft. Supply Lady Bulldogs 8-3!!! That's right, 5 YEARS!! It was pretty exciting to say the least!! For me & Nicole anyway - these guys don't get INTO the game like us Texans do. Maybe basketball will be different?

As Adeline faces surgery, only You know the true greatness of her fears and worries. Please guide her heart and soul to trust in you, to know that you are at her side and pouring your protection upon her, even through the darkest valley. Guide the hands and mind of her physician with Your wisdom, not his own. Bring Adeline a speedy and thorough recovery after surgery. Bless Jack, as he travels this dark valley with her, and ease his worries and stress.
