Fortunately, I was off work last night, and since Shamrock's so close, we got to go watch Matthew play. Unfortunately... he got hit and went down pretty hard hurting his shoulder just before half-time. Think he's OK with no permanent damage though - I hope! They took him out of the game for the second half. During the first half though, he did WELL, and they won the game 6 - 0. Nicole's friends Heather (you met her at the Testicle Festival) from Reydon went with us to the game. Believe it or not - she had NEVER been to a football game in her life until last night. They had a blast. They sat with Jessica in the "Buck Pride" section of the stands, and made lots of noise cheering the team on. Albert & James were there too, as was Gilbert.
Who's Gilbert, you ask? Well, on the way to the game, we happened to spy a turtle crossing the road, so we quickly - too quickly for those girls - stopped the truck, turned around and picked the little fellow up. Nicole dubbed him Gilbert, and he got sent home with Margaret Ann & Jesse to be added to Zane's growing collection of critters - that is, if Melissa's decides not to be a mean Mom. Just kidding Lissa - love you!!
Hope to get to see some other ballgames, but work schedule & gas price being like they are, they will be few, and far between. Would love to be able to keep up with all your kids' activities on here though - not just sports either. Get to posting those results, and have a GREAT season and school year.
